My name is Robert Billings and I am an aspiring web designer in Tampa, Florida. Web design first sparked my interest about 6 years ago when my dad built his first web site. However, over the past two years, I’ve found that I have a passion for web design and while developing new skills through forums and tutorials, I’ve begun to develop some of my own simple code snippets.

I had the opportunity of working for an online magazine publisher building websites using Joomla. While not an ideal position, it gave me the chance to really see several coding languages and techniques in action while learning server navigation, some SEO tricks and link building techniques.

That experience led to a new position where I develop individual company websites, complete with database and user-level systems, for my present employer’s clients. This position has provided the perfect climate for increasing my design and development skills such as developing clean, semantically correct, cross-browser compatible websites as well as graphic design and manipulation. I continue to develop my server and network administration skills working in both Linux and Windows IIS environments.

Small business and personal website design have become my specialty. My goal is to provide you with your unique presence on the web, while continuing to hone my skills and ultimately, share my experience back with others like myself who are trying to make a name for themselves in web design and development.
